Loving Jesus

I went on a date this morning, no there wasn't anyone else physically with me. I am not sharing new of a significant other. Instead I went on a date with Jesus. I sat down this morning after yoga, I had a conversation with Him. I prayed, I read, and I journaled all about my new found love for Him. I found some piece of joy within myself that was not there before. I learned a few things that were surprising.

this season's travels

I am so excited to be leaving this Sunday for a trip with my beautiful family. When my Opa passed away my mother wanted to take some of his ashes to Germany, where he grew up and lived a lot of his life. Everyone in my family has been there at least 2 times. Now we get the chance to go a third all together! We will be going from London to Germany to Paris. I am incredibly excited for this adventure and ready to make a lifetime of memories with my family.

That was written before i left, having every intention of posting an explaining my travel itinerary. Well, that obviously did not happen, so here I am again writing the results from that amazing journey around Europe! Our first stop was London, we got to visit all the major spots and had the best time doing it, I will never forget. I will do a post for each location so that the photos don't go a mile long on this post!
First, we went to London. I loved it! I would definitely consider living there. A few highlights:

Turning coffee into Education

This is kinda all over the place and two totally different subjects however, they are things that are dear to my heart and really been in my life lately. I have always been a fan of Starbucks but being in college and early morning (weekend) sorority activities make you LOVE starbucks, or just coffee in general! I love early mornings, I am beginning to get better at enjoying them and being peppy! I like that I can enjoy anytime of the day and Starbucks just makes it an even better time, am I right?!

making yourself proud

Sometimes we have to take a step away from helping others and putting 100% of ourselves into loving and making others proud, that is when we can make ourselves proud. We only have this one life to live and it is really important to encourage yourself throughout your lifetime. Making sure that you are accomplishing what you want to do and moving towards your short-term and long-term goals is really important. 

ADPi

Joining a sorority was the best decision I could make. It has helped me develop a sense of home here in Pullman. More importantly it has given me friends and sisters that  I will have until I die. Recruitment was the hardest week i've ever been through. However, running home to ADPi was the BEST thing that ever happened to me. I didn't know it then but I would grow close to amazing and inspiring women.
You can't understand how blessed women and men are that are in the greek system until you become a part of it. You can't understand what they are all about until you are a part of it, it is something indescribable. I've only been a part of it for a few weeks and I can already see all these beautiful things coming from it. That tells you that it really is something special.

little things

I am a mother's helper for a women in walnut creek, we have become just like friends. we chat while we work & i literally think of her as a mother/friend/role model figure. she is so incredibly amazing & kind. i cannot believe i get to work with such an amazing women and three beautiful red heads. i'm truly blessed.

this one's for you

I thought of you today while i handed out my goodies. I thought of you while I gladly help the old women get gas. and I thought of you when I purchased all my mother's gifts. I thought of you when I looked at our tree last night. i thought of you when i decorated my tree with your cranes. i thought of you when i walked through the pike's place flower part of the market. i thought of how much you'd love the pink & white flowers. i thought about how at my wedding we would make a special flower arrangement for your seat, front and center. i thought about how i would raise my children with the same giving and loving heart as you. i thought about how you would give your whole heart to others before you helped yourself. i thought about how we cuddled that one night & how you read a prayer to me every night when i was with you. i thought about you this morning and how you'd want me to go to school, try my best, & work hard at everything.

i thought about you, everyday. i still do.
